At dinner the other night Mike decided to let us in on 6-year-old wisdom:
"My fork can hold more than my spoon and the pen is mightier than the sword."
Can someone explain the (not-so-obvious-to-me) connection?Labels: is, mightier, pen, sword, than, the

Why does it need to be connected? Two equally random thoughts that happened to come out at the same time and were never meant to be written down!

What he actually said was:
"My fork is better than my spoon" in the same way that the phrase "The pen is mightier than the sword" is intoned in the Indiana Jones and the Holy Grail movie. And he noticed it, so commented on it.
And it's not just him - both Lloyd and I noticed the rhythmic connection before he mentioned it...
